Hemorrhoid Surgery

When a stage in your hemorrhoid journey is reached when you can no longer deal with the pain of hemorrhoid flare up and bleeding hemorrhoids or bleeding piles the best option available to you is to consult your health care provider and inquire about the surgical removal of hemorrhoids.

There are a variety of methods used in hemorrhoid surgery to surgically remove piles or hemorrhoids:
1. Rubber band ligation which is the placing of rubber bands at the base of the hemorrhoid denying it blood flow resulting in entropy and eventual disappearance of the hemorrhoids.
2. Laser coagulation surgery is used to cut off the blood supply to the hemorrhoids again resulting in their eventual entropy.
3. Direct surgical intervention which is called hemorrhoidectomy is a procedure where the piles or hemorrhoids are removed by scalpel and stitched.

For internal hemorrhoids the preferred method of removal is rubber band litigation.

Surgery should be considered if you have tried home or out patient remedies without success.

It should be remembered that though most hemorrhoids originate in childbirth or from straining or forcing when constipated, actual flare ups in existing hemorrhoids is usually the result of automatic straining brought on by diarrhea.

Before you finally choose surgery perhaps you should look at your diet. Does your diet contain enough fiber or roughage? Do you consume too much caffeine? Is alcohol present in your diet?

A diet rich in fiber and fresh non processed foods coupled with limited caffeine intake and abstinence from alcohol could be just the cure you need.
