PILES Piles (Hemorrhoids) is a very common anorectal disease defined as the symptomatic enlargement and/or distal displacement of anal cushions. The most common symptom of hemorrhoids is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. Hemorrhoids are found both in men and women. About half of all people have hemorrhoids by age 50.
FISSURE-IN-ANO Anal fissure is a small cut or tear in the thin, moist tissue (mucosa) that lines the anus or in the lining of the anal opening. It may lead to itching, pain, and bleed while making bowel movements. Anal fissure may occur when you pass hard stools.
FISTULA-IN-ANO Anal Fistula is an abnormal passage (communication) between the interior of the anal canal or rectum and the skin surface around the anus. Rarely, the fistula may communicate from anus (rectum) to Vagina (Recto-Vaginal Fistula), Urinary Bladder (Recto-Vesical Fistula), Urethera (Recto-Uretheral Fistula) or other pelvic structures, including the bowel.
